The Pasifika Medical Association celebrates 27 years of successful navigation this year and is proud to collaborate with Te Marae Ora Cook Islands Ministry of Health to host the 2023 PMA Conference in the Cook Islands. This year's theme is "Te 'Ākirāta 'Ou - The New Dawn" and will be held on the 6th - 8th September 2023 in Rarotonga, and the 11th September 2023 in Aitutaki.
Our key themes are:

- BOLD INNOVATION: Mental health access and integration
- BEING BRAVE: Humanitarian assistance and responding to the climate crisis
- BRILLIANT: Our future workforce
The Annual PMA Conference remains the largest meeting of Pacific health workers and professionals in our region.
The Conference enables us to reach beyond our geographical boundaries, move out from our everyday concerns and share our collective innovations, learnings, and best practices. The Conference also supports us to develop solutions to the challenges that face all our countries and communities. The Conference has a history of providing an information-rich environment for attendees to interact, share and improve knowledge and aspirations in a friendly and supportive environment and this year will be no different.

Call for Abstracts You are invited to submit an abstract to present your research, models of care and best practice in relation to Pacific Health. We are accepting abstracts for oral papers. Please ensure your abstract demonstrates a connection to the conference themes (see Abstract Guidelines for more information). Submissions for abstracts close Friday 16th June 2023. |
